Health Related Fitness

There are as many opinions on health related fitness as there are current health articles. For me it is all about energy. You will enjoy self healing energy when your mind body connection is not compromised and your body’s electrical network is fully activated.

In this section, I am going to list the elements that, in my opinion, make up health related fitness and which have worked for me over many years.

You might be confused if you have been reading health related articles. What was viewed as being bad for your health six months ago is being hailed in current health articles as the best thing that you can do to ensure your well-being  The funny thing is that they all claim to know the truth about what is and what isn't good for your health.

But clearly no one knows and, what they are presenting are opinions based on their own perspective or agendas.

What we do know is that, we are all different, we have different ethnic backgrounds, we handle stress differently, we have different metabolisms and we have different life styles.

The one thing that we all have in common is the way we start in life. We start off when a male sperm cell and a female egg cell join up in our mother’s Fallopian tubes or in her upper uterus. These two cells begin multiplying and the end result is one of the greatest creations in our known universe, the human body.

In my section on Mind Body Connection, you will read about the network which connects every cell in the body to the brain via the spinal cord and about our self healing energy. You will also understand that, when your body is working right, old and sick cells die and are continuously being replaced by new healthy cells.

The next statement is so important that I am going to repeat it here.

You will enjoy perfect health when the old cells in your body are replaced by new healthy cells. It takes about 14 months for all the vital organs to be replaced and every 7 years you have a brand new rejuvenated body.

That, is the definition of abundant health or health related fitness.

Let us start taking a logical approach to health and stop blaming sickness on idiotic things like when someone asks me: “My leg hurts, do you think that it could be the weather?”.

“No”, I reply, “if it was the weather my leg would also hurt!”.

It is the inability of your body to fight off whatever it is, that is causing the pain in your leg, not the weather!

Pain is a symptom and your body’s warning system telling you that something is wrong and needs to be sorted out.

In the western world the suppression of symptoms has been masqueraded as health related fitness.

We are continuously brainwashed by adverts telling us that, when we feel pain, we should take a pill to make that pain go away. And if we cannot find a pill, we go to a doctor and he has a pill.

Let me explain this concept of taking a pill to suppress the symptom, by using an analogy.

Imagine that your brain’s warning systems correspond to the warning lights and instruments of a Boeing 747’s flight deck such as the one in the picture.

During a flight the pilot gets a warning indicating a malfunction with the fuel pump supplying the port engines with fuel. Instead of looking for the cause of the problem, the pilot decides to disable the warnings. This is what we do when we take a pill, we suppress the warnings by eliminating the pain. 

Has the problem been solved? No, the engines on the left hand side are not getting enough fuel and they are about to shut down, but the warnings have been turned off. We don’t feel the pain, but the sickness is still present in our bodies.

Next comes a warning that the plane has lost power to the engines on the right hand side. The action taken earlier, caused the second fuel pump to overheat and malfunction. All engines are about to shut down and, well you can see where this is heading.

The result is similar to taking that pill to suppress the original symptom. Not only are you not curing any disease, you are causing more damage to your body!





Understand that every pill and chemical that you put into your body, has side effects. Even those necessary to save lives. Pick up the information sheet supplied with any medication and read the section which describes all the possible side effects.

Let me hasten to state that, this section is not about running down the medical profession in any way. I was involved in the medical profession for 29 years.

This health related fitness section is about restoring your confidence in this amazing body of yours and to demonstrate how you can start enjoying abundant health by helping restore your body’s self healing energy.

Why is the mind so important?

Because, it is in the mind that all health and disease originates, both mental and physical.

The good news is that you have the choice of what to allow into your mind.

2. Breath for Life

We take breathing for granted and we forget how important breathing is in ensuring our health related fitness.

The act of breathing brings oxygen into our bodies. Oxygen helps to transport the nutrients from the foods that we eat to all parts of our body and from those nutrients, the body creates living tissue.

Your body can survive weeks without food and days without water but without oxygen you will only last a few minutes.

3. Why is Nutrition Important?

We have already seen that the body makes living tissue from the food that we eat. 

But what foods should we be eating? There are many differing opinions when it comes to what foods are good for you and which foods are not. You just have to read current health articles to see how varied those opinions can be.

The fact remains that good nourishment is essential for the production of your body’s self healing energy which in turn ensures that you live with health related fitness.

4. Laughter and Health

There are “feel good” and “feel bad” types of feelings. Laughter is very high on the list of “feel good” feelings.

5. Rest, Peace and Health

We, like all other living things, require rest. And rest does not necessarily mean only our night’s sleep.
